I went over for dinner to a friend’s place yesterday and was amazed by the way she had turned a disadvantage into an advantage. She had very smartly turned the little space that there was in her child’s nursery to a great space for her kids to stretch, play around and just lose themselves in their little worlds. She had very smartly invested in what the children very fondly call – the Captain’s Bed. Have any of you tried it before? I would love it if you could share your experiences of using this bunk bed with me to help me decide

A bunk bed is the best playmate that you can possibly offer to your kid. Don’t believe me? then listen to this story. Well its actually an incident from my life. My kids are devils incarnate in every which way possible and they are the reasons why I lost all my extra weight in a couple of weeks time after delivering my last child. The kids were taking over my bedroom and my husband and I strongly felt the need of spending a good amount on getting the kids to start liking their own room. A neighbor who had had a very similar experience suggested that we get a bunk bed for the kid which will have space for a trundle bed beneath the bed so that both my toddlers can comfortably accommodate themselves for a good night’s sleep. We were skeptical about how our kids will take to living away from us and adjusting to staying in a separate room. Now that worry is a thing of the past. I am so glad I took my neighbor’s advice. Go ahead with buying that dear Captain’s bed for your dear kid.

I have a little girl, for whom her clothes, her dolls and her soft toys are her world. What happens by the end of the day is that the room is cluttered with the objects of her affection and she refuses to let me clean the floor off her stuff. I finally decided to take things in my own hand and went online to try and get some help. Bunk beds were the first suggestions that came to me, however since she is my only child I didn’t require leveled beds on two floors. Captain’s Bed came my way and I thank the day that I had prudence enough to go online. The Captain’s bed has a row of drawers below the bed that offers excellent storage space. Now my child can keep her dearest belongings in the drawers beneath the bed and they are close enough for her to take them out as and when she wants. Thanks Captain’s Bed.

Captain’s Bed is not just an investment for the time that your kid is 3-4 years old, but can also serve as your child’s bed when he/she is older. The Captain’s Bed offers an option wherein you can choose between two separate sleeping heights. The low option allows you to choose between what you want? A trundle bed or underbed drawers option. At the higher level, your kid when he/she has passed the stage of the lower height, can choose between one or two sets of under bed drawers. I have resisted the temptation to sleep on the bed sometimes, curling up and fitting myself in, because sleeping on Captain’s Bed is so much fun.
